About the Journal
The Journal of Caribbean Archaeology (JCA) was created to provide a refereed publication outlet for archaeological research in the Caribbean and surrounding areas to promote and facilitate communication between investigators working across the broad circum-Caribbean region.
JCA was founded in 1999 and paused publication in 2022, before restarting in 2025. JCA publishes original papers dealing with any aspect of archaeology in the Caribbean or surrounding areas. It also publishes Special Numbers assembled by a guest Editor in consultation with the Editor, and Book Reviews solicited by the Book Review Editor. Articles may be written in English, French, or Spanish and abstracts in all three language accompany every article.
